Farming Equipment and Technology Fund opens 29th May 2025!

The 6 week application window for the Farming Equipment and Technology fund will open from 29th May 2025 and closes midday on 10th July 2025.

Grants are available between £1,000 - £25,000 for each theme. The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2025 includes 3 themes to help you buy equipment or technology:

  1. Productivity Funding
  2. Slurry Management Grants
  3. Animal Health and Welfare Grants

The funding is competitive. Each theme has rules for scoring, to ensure public money is used well. Once the application window closes, all applications will be reviewed and scored. In total £30 million will support the productivity and slurry management themes. £16.7 million will support the animal health and welfare theme.  

Productivity Funding

66 items are available to improve farm productivity and help boost your farms efficiency and profitability. Contact our farm management consultants for the full list of items, scores and detailed specifications, however the farm productivity funding includes:

  • Robotic silage pusher
  • Direct drill
  • Chemical free disinfection system for dairy farms

Slurry Management Grants

Slurry management grants are available to help how you collect, store test and spread slurry. Better slurry management helps improve soil health and water and air quality, while making the most of valuable nutrients - supporting nature and your bottom line. Contact our farm management consultants for the full list of of slurry grants available. However there are 17 different slurry equipment items and popular items available and include the following:

  • Robotic slurry collectors
  • Flow rate monitoring equipment and low- emission slurry spreaders
  • Mobile/fixed slurry separators

Animal Health And Welfare Grants

The animal health and welfare grants for farms is a Government grant that can help you improve your livestock health and welfare. This leads to higher productivity, better quality and more reliable food production to help you increase farm profits. This animal health and welfare grants is available to commercial farmers who keep pigs, sheep, dairy cows, beef cattle, layer chickens or broilers.

You can increase your application score by 20% if you provide evidence that you have discussed your grant application with a vet.
